The last post...
The post below is the video I found on YouTube. My theatre teacher showed it to our class during my senior year, when we were doing the Sound of Music as our spring show. This is a flashmob group performing at a train station in Belgium to promote the production of The Sound of Music that toured there. I think this video is just awesome, to say the least.
One thing I love about YouTube is that you can find anything on there. And I mean anything, so be cautious. Every type of music video is on the site, and clips of TV shows and movies. What's great about YouTube is that you can create your own account and start uploading videos of your own. It's a great way to become famous, from what I hear. lol

Thing #19
I am a member of several social networks outside of Facebook and Twitter. I have a YouTube account that I absolutely love. I browsed through some of the mentioned websites and found an interest in the 'Books' section. I created an account on Shelfari, which is a website that is run with Amazon.com. I already had an Amazon account, so signing up was pretty simple. I like this website a lot because it allowed me to search through thousands of books and add ones that I have already read, ones that I am currently reading, and ones that I planned on reading. I think this is a great tool because it allows members to see what other people suggest regarding books and gives you great ideas for what to read next.

Thing #18
I think with any profession that networking is a key aspect because it can open up many doors for you. I think for teachers, it is important to understand networking because it can allow you to learn new concepts from other people who are more experienced and have a better insight of how to teach. Networking can be a huge learning experience as well. From my experience using Facebook, I have watched it change from a simple social media site to something so much larger than that. I think the most interesting thing about Facebook is it's ability to link people all across the globe.
As far as the classroom is concerned, I already know of many schools and school organizations that have a Facebook page. It is a great way to convey information to all different kinds of users. For example, my high school Theatre department had a Facebook page and it was VERY handy. All of the rehearsal dates were posted, sections of script that were being worked on, when the performance dates were, as well as the contact info for all of the cast members. It was very beneficial to have, and I liked the fact that the school was linked to such a huge and popular social scene.

Thing #17
I am a huge Google user, and could see myself using Delicious to tag and save all of the links to the websites that I find. I can see it's potential use in the classroom. Teachers can easily use it in their lessons to tag the URL of a site they used to get to the link more quickly than having to open a browser and go find the link. Teachers can also use bookmarking tools to share information with other teachers and administrators.
Thing #16
I chose iGoogle as the intro page. I am already experienced with Google accounts, and I like the way you can customize them any way you want to fit your needs. One of my favorite things about sites like this, is that you an customize the theme to something that fits your personality. I think having a good theme that you like will make the site more attractive to you and will draw you to use the site more and more. I already have a customized Yahoo page set as my homepage, but if I ever decide to change, I would probably use iGoogle.
As someone who uses the internet everyday, I could see an online calendar being very useful. It would be one less thing I have to make sure I look at everyday. If I made it on a site that I have to see everyday, then I would find myself using it more and more.
As stated in an earlier post, I'm all about making to do lists. But I'm the kind of guy that likes to use paper and pen, simply because I like the feeling of crossing something out when it is finished. It makes me feel very accomplished.
The stickynotes.net website is a great tool to download. As soon as you open your laptop, all of your notes are there on your home screen in plain view for you to see.
